CAP Historical Foundation was established in 1997 to preserve the history and promote the proud heritage of the Civil Air Patrol and WWII CAP Coastal Patrol. In 1998, it was incorporated in the State of Maryland as a non-profit charitable educational institution and was accepted by the Internal Revenue Service as a 501 C (3) organization. Contribution to CAPHF are tax deductible.

| 21. | Through CAPHF Photo Archive Project, preserved core historical photos on film and digital media (2002-2004) |
| 22. | Through the Museum of the Civil Air Patrol on the Web, established a virtual museum to reach thousands more efficiently than a physical museum (2005) |
